Sign Up for a Listening Session!
The City is hosting small-group listening sessions for residents on June 16 and 17 at City Hall. Each session will be led by a facilitator who will guide a conversation about Des Peres’ strengths, community concerns, and key issues affecting residents. Sessions will last approximately 45 minutes.
Can’t make a listening session? Don’t worry. The planning process will continue through Spring 2027, and there will be many opportunities for residents to stay involved and provide input.

What is a Comprehensive Plan?
A comprehensive plan serves as a strategic guide for the community, shaping decisions, both large and small, over the next ten years regarding future land use and the City’s physical development. It translates community values into specific actions, creating a blueprint for the future.
Additionally, the comprehensive plan is closely integrated with other municipal documents and initiatives to ensure a cohesive approach to development, city services, and overall city decision-making.
How can I get involved?
Great question! Public involvement is a vital part of this process. There will be open houses for residents to attend, as well as an online community survey in Summer 2026. Additionally, the planning team will engage with various community stakeholders and organizations.
